Utah's Best Mountain Wedding Venues | Utah Wedding Photographer

If you’re thinking about getting married in the mountains of Utah, these are absolutely the places you’ve got to consider for your ceremony. Of course, it depends on what exactly you’re looking for: are you picturing a warm, summer wedding surrounded by lush alpine trees? Or are you team winter wedding, prepped for an Elsa-level ceremony, and hitting the slopes after?

Whatever your preference, these five Utah mountain venues would elevate any wedding day! (See what I did there?)

the best mountain venues in northern Utah:

Skylodge - Powder Mountain, Eden

Great amenities, awesome snow, and less crowded than Park City? It truly DOES sound like Eden, doesn’t it? Great news: it’s all true! Bring your mountain wedding vision to life at Powder Mountain’s Summit, a pet-friendly alpine venue where you’ll be high above thousands of acres of nature. Located just one hour north of Salt Lake, you’ll have a really secluded, intimate feel but still have access to everything you need! Powder Mountain also has three other venues to consider for weddings: The Meadow, Bower Lodge, and Arbor Lodge - all very competitively priced compared to Park City alternatives!

Louland Falls - Salt Lake City

This beautiful venue is just 20 miles away from Salt Lake City International Airport - but you feel as if you’re transported to another world! The venue is partially enclosed by a mountainside, giving it a really intimate, close feel. This venue would be great for weddings of around 60 guests, so that you still feel the spaciousness of being in nature. The only downside I can see to this beautiful venue is that some have said it’s slightly challenging to get to. This could be a great opportunity to get some customized maps created, with detailed instructions + pertinent information for your guests!

Lookout Cabin - Alpine Meadows, Park City

Park City Mountain has four different options for couples planning a wedding in the mountains, but my favorite is Lookout Cabin! If you’re looking for a summer wedding I think this location would be ideal. I can already see the sun setting over the Wasatch Mountain range as you share a first dance on the deck! Winter weddings are held here as well (but I think Park City Mountain’s Red Pine Lodge would be epic for a winter ceremony instead!)

oh hold up! ya like free stuff? want wedding planning to be easier? well look what I’ve got for you…

Timber Moose Lodge - Heber City

If your dream wedding consists of not just one unforgettable day, but a multiple day unforgettable group experience, you’ve got to check out Timber Moose Lodge! The award-winning venue is capable of hosting up to 58 overnight guests in its 13 rooms. Inside you’ll find things like a pool table and an indoor-heated pool to make your stay super fun. Staying here for a few days before the wedding would mean less stress because on your wedding day, you’d already be right where you’re supposed to be! After getting ready in one of the cabin’s charming rooms, you might have your first look on a trail located on one of the cabin’s many acres of surrounding lands. Then your ceremony would take place on a gorgeous deck that overlooks the lake. This venue would be perfect for couples looking to celebrate a one-of-a-kind experience with the people who most love and support them – especially couples who love a party atmosphere and don’t want to worry about the logistics of transporting their entire guest list safely back to hotels late in the evening.

Stein Erikson Lodge - Deer Valley, Park City

This lodge has two places I’d consider for your ceremony - The Flagstaff Deck, and the Bald Mountain Lawn. On the Flagstaff Deck you’ll have a beautiful backdrop of the mountains any time of year! To bring a super lush, romantic wedding vision to life book the Bald Mountain Lawn for a Spring or Summer ceremony. And while you’re here, you and your guests will be able to enjoy award-winning dining, private reception areas, and spacious bridal suites for fireside cocktails with your “I do” Crew helping you get ready for the big day!
